Rima holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the Lebanese American University in Lebanon. After graduating in 2012, she embarked on a career in the pharmaceutical industry that has been both rewarding and fulfilling.
Her journey in the healthcare sector began when she assumed the role of a medical representative for diabetes at Boehringer Ingelheim. In 2016 she was promoted to medical science liaison (MSL) for diabetes. This role allowed her to delve deeper into the field, connecting with healthcare professionals and contributing to the advancement of diabetes care.
In 2017, she joined the Angels initiative, a decision that has had a profound impact on her career and personal growth. Her responsibilities extended across the Gulf, Iran, and Pakistan regions, where she played a pivotal role in various projects. Among others, she took pride in helping launch the first-ever summer school and the ground-breaking live-translation nurse training programme in Iran, contributing to improving healthcare accessibility and education in the region.
She was promoted to the position of medical advisor in 2019, a role that solidified her passion for making a difference in the healthcare industry.
In 2023, she reached another milestone in her career, becoming medical manager for Specialty and Angels.
Throughout her journey, she has held on to a core belief: “Once an Angel, always an Angel.” This motto resonates deeply with her experience in the Angels Initiative. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the Beyond the Pill initiative, where significant strides have been made in saving stroke patients and positively impacting the world.
Her career path has been defined by a commitment to improving healthcare. As team leader for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Pakistan and Jordan, she looks forward to continuing this mission, embracing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and working alongside a team who share her passion for making a meaningful difference in the world.
